The Admission List by Husan

Wale had just said his morning prayers: a constant recitation for the past ten years since he graduated, but today there was something new in his Prayers And The way he presented them was like one who had confidence that his prayers were about to be answered. He prayed “o lord, let my name be in the admission list “. He was jerked into reality by a sudden blow
to the head which was painfully administered by his Mother, who viewed sleep as the cause of his predicament and was trying to avoid a repeat performance this year; He would have tried Explaining, had the second blow not struck his Chin. He sluggishly and grudgingly rose from his bed and uttered some intelligible words which were meant to be greetings but had not served its purpose as his mom gave the Finishing strike which had it struck with greater intensity would have left wale temporarily dazed. This kind of scenario and events had characterized Wales’s life Since He Graduated from senior secondary School and failed to secure a place in a tertiary institution.
At about 10am, that morning, after doing his chores, taking his bath and Breakfast he proceeded to the newspaper stand to get the newspaper daily’s in which the admission list would appear, as he held the paper in his hands, his heart raced, beating an uncoordinated rhythm. After a brief prayer he browsed through the pages until he found the page containing the admission’s list—There It Was, He searched painstakingly for his name but after ten failed attempts he gave up trying—His Name Wasn’t on the list, He suddenly felt dizzy, his legs wobbled, he wouldn’t be standing for long, his uneasiness was noticed by the newspaper vendor who tried rendering some meaningful assistance, But all this were to no avail-Wale was Out.
He regained consciousness to an unfamiliar environment, there were women in white gowns, people on beds like the one he was in, it finally dawned that he was in a hospital, His mom had been contacted and had left her stall immediately she learned of the incident, Now She Was approaching the entrance to the hospital, on getting into the hospital she met the nurse on duty who then checked The hospital records for the incident and individual requested, Wale’s name was on it—yes!!! It was the third name on the admission list for the day.
At about 5pm on that fateful day, Wale’s wish/Prayer had been answered in an ironical Manner—Wale had prayed for his name to be on the admissions list, His name was on the admissions list-That of The HOSPITAL.
LESSON-Be Specific When You Pray/Wish for something!!!!
