CANCER- Reason Why You Should Get A Dog

A dog's nose is a powerful tool: dogs have successfully sniffed out a number of cancers.
A Labrador retriever could be just as effective at detecting cancer as a laboratory, according to ongoing studies that test dogs' abilities to sniff out cancer in patients.
A recent study found that trained dogs were able to detect prostate cancer in urine with 98 percent accuracy.
Two 3-year-old, female German shepherds were trained at the Italian Ministry of Defense's Military Veterinary Center using positive reinforcement to recognize prostate cancer-specific volatile organic compounds.

The dogs analyzed more than 400 urine samples, and one dog detected prostate cancer with 100 accuracy, while the second had 98.6 percent accuracy.
However, prostate cancer isn't the only type of cancer dogs have successfully sniffed out.
Man's best friends have also proved their noses can detect bosom, ovarian, colon, bladder, skin and lung cancer, typically by smelling breath samples.

Cancer causes the body to release certain organic compounds that dogs can smell but people cannot, and scientists hope that researching the phenomenon will help them one day develop an electronic nose that can detect cancer as dogs' noses can.
With 220 million olfactory cells in their snouts - compared with a mere 50 million in a human nose - it's estimated that a dog's sense of smell is up to a million times better than ours.
In addition to scientific studies, there's also anecdotal evidence that dogs can detect cancer.

Numerous dog owners tell stories of their pets persistently sniffing or nudging an area of their body that later turned out to harbor a tumor.
Such was the case for Maureen Burns, whose 9-year-old collie mix, Max, started acting strangely. Her dog would insistently sniff her bosom and back off with what Burns called a "sad look in his eyes."
Burns did have a small lump in her bosom, but her mammogram had been clear. But as Max's peculiar behavior persisted, she returned to the doctor and asked for a biopsy.
Doctors were surprised to learn the lump was cancerous.

Patience Jonathan Stands Up For Her Husband, Sick Of You All Abusing Him (LOOK) And Remember #THERE IS GOD OOOO

Wife of President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday advised Nigerians to desist from abusing her husband because God Himself made him the head of the nation.

Mrs. Jonathan gave the advice while addressing children at an event she organised to mark the 2014 Children’s Day at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Quoting from the Holy Bible, she said God’s instruction to mankind to honour their parents was not limited to biological parents only.

She said, “It is bad to abuse our country and the President because God has made him the head.

“The Almighty God commands us to pray for our leaders. We therefore need to pray for the development of our country and the president.
“Remember that a child that abuses his father and mother is disobeying God’s commandment because the Bible says in Exodus 20:12 that you should honour your father and mother so that you may live long in the land that the Lord your God has given you.

“The Holy Bible is not referring to only biological parents. Any one that is older than you even for a day must be respected. Let us therefore join hands and rebuild our country Nigeria.”

She assured the children and adults who attended the event that the Federal Government is doing all within its powers to secure the release of the over 200 schoolgirls abducted from Chibok, Borno State.

While calling on Nigerians to be united in the fight against terrorism, Mrs. Jonathan also advised that citizens should learn to encourage soldiers who are at the fore front of the fight.

“It is the right of every child to go to school. It is only through education that you can be able to achieve your dreams and contribute meaningfully to your community and the nation.

“We desire peace in our community and in our nation. I want you all to be ambassadors of peace in your schools and practise good manners. We have no other country than Nigeria.

“We therefore need to be patriotic and committed to our dear country. We should strengthen our covenant with our country as outlined in the National Pledge.

“Let us therefore be united in fighting terrorism. We should encourage our soldiers who are in the frontline to rescue our beloved daughters,” she said.

She promised that she would not relent in her efforts to assist in securing the release of the abducted girls.

The event which featured special inter-faith prayers for the release of the schoolgirls also saw some children presenting letters of demand on the abducted girls addressed to the Boko Haram sect to the President’s wife.

The President’s wife however said since she did not know members of the sect, she would forward the children’s letters to the National Security Adviser orthe Chief of Defence Staff.

“Let me thank the children that gave me letter to give Boko Haram. Well, I have received your letter, but I am not the one to give it to Boko Haram because I don’t know Boko Haram and I have never seen Boko Haram. But I will give it to the NSS or Chief of Defence Staff who will submit your letter accordingly.

“To my children parliament, thank you for your letter. Thank you for your deliberation. I have received what you gave to me. I will make sure I pass it to the President because it is addressed to him and the other one is addressed to Boko Haram. That is why the two are different,” she added.

Hey .....Girl Check ur Bride Price

Brideprice.com.ng, iro le pa! After playing the game, the app said my bride price is N482k. Lai Lai! Dear future husband, I don't care what this app says, my bride price is currently at N2.5million. If you waste time and don't show up this year, the bride price will increase by 50%. So gbo? Lol. #kidding!

Anyway, have you guys seen this app? Tried it? What do you think? It's a new app that helps women know how much they are worth so they can charge their future husbands accordingly. But it's all in good fun and not to be taken seriously. The app basically assigns virtual monetary value to women in an attempt to calculate their bride price based on factors such as their level of education, skin colour, nationality, weight, beauty, physical features, accents, country of residence, employment status etc'

I find the app hilarious but apparently not everyone does. A Cosmo writer yesterday described the app as sexist and someone even started a petition asking the app makers to take it down saying that it promotes objectification and misogyny towards women but the guys behind it Anakle.com say its just a joke and should not be perceived as a platform to objectify women. Find their statement after the cut

The app itself is an aggregation of jokes and stereotypes regarding Brice price in Nigeria. These stereotypes are all jokingly used in various Nigerian cultures and on social media every day.
What the app does is aggregate these collections of jokes in one place, and this is for the purpose of fun and fun only. Admittedly, the satirical content caricatures the popular Bride Price concept popular in Nigeria, and most African countries. It should not be perceived as a platform to objectify woman of any tribe, race or color.

We have taken care that no derogatory, sexually explicit content or offensive language is used on the app. It is also not an attempt to put a price on the true value of a woman.
Below are some screenshots from the app

What Makes You Good Friend? Are You?

ON December 25, 2010, a 42-year-old woman in Britain posted a suicide note on a well-known social networking site. Her message sounded like a desperate plea for attention. Although the woman had more than a thousand social network “friends” online, not one came to her aid. The police found her body a day later. She had taken a fatal overdose.https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3dt5YDMi9pR3wCMowXL8FlpLlg08bZOmE69iHwtzyNqJrmSgYeTvl70N5eCBfGydnUBoLcZtNLwkga3YuItwhT2xf0oqTW5EUS5PBIJlXdaRsSvgKkA1yRfd1ZVw_vEBS7NY5_04VoS3C/s1600/Good+Friend.GIF

Today, modern technology allows us to make hundreds, or even thousands, of social network “friends” by merely adding their names to our list of computer contacts. And when we wish to end one of these “friendships,” we simply delete that person’s name from our list. However, the tragic incident involving the woman in Britain underscores a startling reality—true friendship still eludes many. In fact, one recent survey revealed that although we are socializing more, the number of our truly close friends has decreased.
Like most people, you probably agree that good friends are important. You may also recognize that there is more to being a friend than simply clicking links on a computer screen or a smartphone. What do you look for in a friend? How can you be a good friend? What does it take to forge a lasting friendship?
Consider the following four guiding principles, and note how the Bible’s practical advice can help you to be the kind of person others would want as a friend.

 1. Show That You Really Care

True friendship involves commitment. In other words, a good friend feels a responsibility toward you, and he really cares about you. Of course, such commitment is two-way, and it requires hard work and sacrifice on both sides. But the rewards are worth the effort. Ask yourself, ‘Am I willing to give of myself, my time, and my resources for my friend?’ Remember, to have a good friend, you first need to be a good friend.

WHAT PEOPLE LOOK FOR IN A FRIEND

Irene: “Like cultivating a beautiful garden, building a friendship requires a lot of time and care. Start by wanting to be a good friend yourself. Be generous in showing affection and personal interest. And be willing to sacrifice your time when you are needed.”
Luis Alfonso: “Modern-day society encourages egotism rather than altruism. So it means a lot when someone takes a sincere interest in you without necessarily expecting anything in return.”

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY?

“Just as you want men to do to you, do the same way to them. Practice giving, and people will give to you.” (Luke 6:31, 38) Here Jesus recommends true unselfishness and generosity. Such generosity nurtures good friendships. If you expend yourself in behalf of your friends without expecting anything in return, they will naturally feel drawn to you.

2. Be a Good Communicator

A true friendship cannot flourish without regular communication. So talk together about the interests you share. Listen to what your friend has to say, and respect his opinions. Whenever possible, commend and encourage him. At times, a friend may need advice or even correction, and that may not always be easy to give. However, a loyal friend will have the courage to point out a serious fault and offer tactful guidance.

WHAT PEOPLE LOOK FOR IN A FRIEND

Juan: “A true friend should be able to express his opinions freely but not get upset if you don’t agree.”
Eunice: “What I value most are friends who are willing to spend time with me and listen to me, especially when I have problems.”
Silvina: “True friends will tell you the truth—even if they know it will hurt—because they have your best interests at heart.”

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY?

“Everyone must be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.” (James 1:19) Good friends always appreciate a listening ear. Monopolizing the conversation, however, conveys the message that we feel our opinions are more important than theirs. So be attentive when a friend wishes to share his innermost thoughts and concerns. And do not get offended if he is honest with you. “The wounds inflicted by a friend are faithful,” says Proverbs 27:6.

 3. Have Realistic Expectations

The closer we get to a friend, the more likely we are to see his flaws. Our friends are not perfect, but neither are we. Therefore, we should never expect or demand perfection from the people we befriend. Rather, it is good to cherish their virtues and to make allowances for their mistakes.

WHAT PEOPLE LOOK FOR IN A FRIEND

Samuel: “We often have higher expectations of others than we have of ourselves. If we recognize our own mistakes and our own need for forgiveness, then we’re more willing to forgive others.”
Daniel: “Accept the fact that your friends will make mistakes. When problems arise, we do well to resolve them quickly and try hard to forget.”

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY?

A woman asking another woman for forgiveness

Are you willing to forgive?—Colossians 3:13, 14
“We all stumble many times. If anyone does not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able to bridle also his whole body.” (James 3:2) Recognizing this simple truth can help us to be understanding toward our friends. That, in turn, will allow us to overlook minor faults and shortcomings that may irritate us. The Bible says: “Continue putting up with one another and forgiving one another freely even if anyone has a cause for complaint against another. . . . But besides all these things, clothe yourselves with love, for it is a perfect bond of union.”Colossians 3:13, 14.

 4. Widen Your Circle of Friends

True, we need to be selective about the people we befriend. But that does not mean narrowing our choice of friends to those of a certain age or upbringing. Taking an interest in people of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and nationalities can truly enrich our lives.

WHAT PEOPLE LOOK FOR IN A FRIEND

Unai: “Making friends with only those who are your age and have the same tastes as you is like wearing clothing in your favorite color all the time. No matter how much you like that color, at some point you may end up getting bored with it.”
Funke: “Widening my circle of friends has given me the opportunity to mature as a person. I’ve learned to get along with people of all ages and backgrounds, and that has made me more outgoing and adaptable. And my friends really appreciate that.”

What language did Jesus Speak?...

http://papyrus.greenville.edu/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/NEH_Unholy-Things_4.jpg
Have You ever asked yourself what language Jesus Spoke? Even The President Of Israel Had Trouble Answering This.Pope Francis was caught in an argument with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday over the language Jesus Christ spoke.
On the last day of his trip to the Middle East the pontiff met with Netanyahu at a public event in Notre Dame Center in Jerusalem.
During his comments about a strong connection between Judaism and Christianity and tolerance towards Christians in Israel, Netanyahu told the Francis: "Jesus was here, in this land. He spoke Hebrew."
"Aramaic," the pontiff interjected.
"He spoke Aramaic, but he knew Hebrew," Netanyahu shot back.
The difference of opinion reignites a historic debate about the language Jesus spoke two millennia ago.
"Jesus was a native Aramaic speaker," Israeli linguistics professor Ghil'ad Zuckermann told Reuters. "But he would have also known Hebrew because there were extant religious writings in Hebrew."
Zuckermann added that during Jesus' time, Hebrew was spoken by the lower classes - "the kind of people he ministered to."
Aramaic is closely related to Hebrew and was widely spoken across the ancient Middle East. Today it is mostly defunct and is used only by small isolated communities.

On Monday Pope Francis concluded his three day visit to the Middle East. In efforts to encourage the stalled peace process he invited Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas to the Vatican next month.

Reasons Why You Should Never Give Up. NEVER!

http://www.thedebtprincess.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/never-give-up.jpg
At some point in the various journeys we embark on in our lives, we get to a part where we feel like giving up. Sometimes we give up before we even start and other times we give up just before we are about to make that huge break-through that we have been putting so much effort in to achieve.
I have created this list of 22 reasons why you should never give up and I hope that you will find it before you give up, so that I can inspire you to keep going!
1- As Long As You Are Alive Anything Is Possible
The only valid excuse you have to give up is if you are dead. As long as you are alive (and healthy and free) you have the choice to keep trying until you finally succeed.
2- Be Realistic
The chance of mastering something the first time you do it is almost non-existent. Everything takes time to learn and you will make mistakes. Learn from them.
3- Michael Jordan
Arguably the best basketball player of all time. He attributes his success to all his failures. He just never gave up even when he knew he had missed over 300 shots and had missed the  winning shot of the game many times. Every time he got knocked down he got back up again.
4- Lance Armstrong
Lance was diagnosed with serious cancer that had spread throughout his entire body. He had cancer cells the size of golf balls in his lungs. Despite all odds he overcame the cancer and set out to win the Tour de France 6 Consecutive years in a row.
5- Muhammad Ali
“Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee”. Muhammad Ali is one of the best boxers the world has ever known. He suffered only 5 losses while having 56 wins and was the first boxer to win the lineal heavyweight championship three times. This is a guy who literally knows how to get knocked down and get back up.
6- The Man Who Created The Marathon
Very long ago an Athenian herald was sent to Sparta to get help when the Persians landed in Greece. It was said that he ran 240km in 2 days and after that he ran 40km to announce the victory of the Greeks only to collapse and die on the spot from exhaustion. If you ever feel like things are difficult, imagine what it would be like to run 240km in 2 days. (Don’t try that because you might die from it, but use it as an inspiration).
7- Chris Gardner – The Pursuit of Happiness
Have you seen the movie “The Pursuit of Happiness”? It is based on the life story of Chris Gardener, a man who went for the lowest of the lows in an environment where most people would give up (no money, no job) to the highest of the highs (A millionaire with his own investment firm). If you ever think about giving up, watch this movie!
8- Kanye West
I’m pretty sure you have heard of the rapper Kanye West. Read his story. He is a big inspiration for me and proves that you can go from having very little to being among the most famous and respected people in the world.
9- Nelson Mandela
Campaigned for justice and freedom in his South Africa. Spent 20 years in jail for his opposition to apartheid. On release he healed the wounds of apartheid by his magnanimous attitude toward his former political enemies.
10- You Are Strong
You are stronger than you think. One little setback is not enough to stop you from achieving your goals. Neither are 10 or 100 or 1000 setbacks.
11- Prove Yourself
You don’t want to be known as someone that is weak and gives up. Go out there and prove yourself to the world and to yourself. You CAN and WILL achieve what you set out to do. The only time you fail is when you give up.
12- Has It Been Done Before?
If someone else can do it then so can you. Even if it is only one other person in the world that has achieved what you have set out to achieve, that should be reason enough for you to never give up.
13- Believe In Your Dreams
Don’t sell yourself short. In life there are going to be many people who will try to bring you down and tell you what you want to achieve is not possible. Don’t let anyone destroy your dreams.
14- Your Family and Friends.
Let the people you love and who mean the world to you be your inspiration to persist and persevere. Maybe you need to try a different angle, study more or practice more but don’t give up!
15- Because I Tell You To.
Not that I am any sort of guru or Godly figure, but if you want to give up then don’t. Just because I’m telling you not to.
16- There Are People Worse-Off
Right now there are many people who are in a worse situation and environment than you are right now. Are you thinking about giving up running 5 miles a week? Think about the people who are unable to even walk and how much they would give to be able to run 5 miles every day.
17- Improve Our World
When you achieve whatever you set out to achieve you can use your success to make a difference to the world or other peoples lives.
18- Get Rich or Die Trying
Like Fiddy (50 cent) says, “Get rich or die trying”. 50 Cent is rich, he made it (although he did get shot 9 times). Face your fears and don’t take the easy way out by giving up.
19- Let The Haters Hate
There will always be haters. There will always be plenty of naysayers  and people who try to tear you down. Don’t pay attention to them and don’t take what they say to heart. Let the haters hate and you keep believing in yourself.
20- You Deserve To Be Happy
Don’t ever let anybody tell you otherwise. You deserve to be happy and you deserve to have success. Keep that mindset and never give up until you reach your destination!
21- Inspire Others
Be an inspiration to others by refusing to give up. Who knows what someone else can achieve because you never gave up and in turn inspired them not to give up.
22- You Are So Close
Often when you feel like you want to give up and you are about to give up you are so close to making a huge break-thru. Seth Godin has written an awesome book about this called “The Dip” – a riveting read that teaches that at any given time you are always just a heartbeat away from success.
P.S. NEVER GIVE UP!

Why You Will Love X-Men: Days of Future Past

There's a lot to love about the latest Marvel movie to hit the big screen, X-Men: Days of Future past

From the very start, the movie gets off on a high note, and keeps the action going for the entire run-time, with only the very end starting to drag a little. Compared to Spider-Man, another Marvel movie which isn't a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe,
 xmen_dofp_1.jpg
Days of Future Past is able to build a story about a bigger
world than just the actions playing out on screen, without making things feel forced. [Spoilers ahead]
After Marvel Studios' success with building a cohesive world across multiple movies, it's no surprise that other film companies are also trying to ape the formula. For Warner Brothers and DC, that means following up Man of Steel (Superman) with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The movie, which is supposed to release in 2016 will set the stage for a future Justice League movie, and aside from Batman and Superman, it's also supposed to include Wonder Woman, and there are rumours of Aquaman being in the film as well. It's hard to predict how that will come together though at this stage at least, people are hopeful.
Sony, which owns the rights to Spider-Man, has also talked about making spin-offs based on the existing Amazing Spider-Man movies, which will include Venom and the Sinister Six. There, the additional world-building seemed to detract from what was an otherwise straightforward story. Having the Rhino fight come right at the end of the movie might have seemed like a dramatic touch, but it also seemed to come out of the blue, with little cause. References need to be built into the world, and not sprinkled on top. A great example of doing it right was a throwaway line from Captain America, where Stephen Strange, the Sorcerer Supreme of the Marvel Universe, getting mentioned in passing.
xmen_dofp_2.jpgThat's something that Days of Future Past seems capable of pulling off as well. The storyline itself is pretty ridiculous - all time travel stories quickly tend to be - but that doesn't really keep the film from being enjoyable, and the narrative even manages to bridge the timeline of First Class to the first three X-Men movies. What's more, the ending even manages to provide a reasonable retcon that takes away the existence of the really bad second and third X-Men movies.
In Days of Future Past, the Sentinels (giant mutant killing robots) have pretty much won the war against mutants, and what we see is a desperate rear-guard action to change the past and make sure that this future never takes place. In the comic which this movie is loosely based on, it's Kitty Pryde (played here by Ellen Page) who goes to the past, but everyone's favourite loner Wolverine is the one who is sent into the past in this movie.
That's actually not a bad move because his relationship with Professor Xavier (played by James McAvoy as a young man, and as Patrick Stewart) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen) has always been more interesting, and the movie does a good job of foregrounding that fact. But what sells the film is how all the set-pieces make sense. In X2: X-Men United, Magneto is jailed in a special glass prison but it's never explained where that came from. Magneto's jailed in a special prison here too, but Professor X explains that it was a war bunker which was made entirely out of concrete. It's a small thing, but it highlights how much more attention to detail is being paid here.
xmen_dofp_3.jpgThe best parts of this movie all take place in the past. In the future, characters like Colossus, Bishop and Blink are given some high-action fights against super sentinels, but while the action is excellent, all the fun stuff happens in the past, starting with Wolverine waking up on a waterbed, and realising that he doesn't have his adamantium claws yet. Peter Dinklage plays Bolivar Trask, a scientist who truly wants to protect humanity from the threat of mutants and has some great scenes. A scene in Saigon shows Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique rescuing a group of mutants who are about to be taken for scientific study by Major William Stryker - the same man who would go on to lead the experiments on Wolverine, giving him his iconic metal claws.
But the most satisfying part of the whole movie is probably Quicksilver. The character is a big change from the comics - the codename is dropped and he goes by Peter instead of Pietro; the crazy lightning bolt suit has been replaced by casual clothes and goggles, while the angry personality seems to have been replaced with a far more fun-loving, mischief-making character. And it all works.
The scene where he helps break Magneto out of prison is the highlight of the movie. He puts on his headphones, starts listening to some music, and runs around the room, causing incredible mayhem. Guards punch each other while Quicksilver samples some gravy, bullets go awry and pots and pans are used to knock people out in a beautifully choreographed sequence which is worth the price of admission by itself.
xmen_dofp_4.jpgIf you've been reading the comics, then many of the smaller nods are really great as well. For example, when Quicksilver breaks Magneto out, he mentions that his mother knew a guy who could manipulate metal. In the comics, Magneto is the father of both Quicksilver, and also Scarlet Witch (who can influence probability, which means she's able to do anything the plot requires). Both these characters also work with the Avengers, and are supposed to be showing up in Avengers: Age of Ultron next year, so it'll be interesting to see what direction that movie is going to take with the character.
At another point, during his speech near the end of the movie, Magneto exhorts all mutants to join his brotherhood, a nod to the fact that the X-Men villains led by Magneto were known as the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. There are plenty of these small nods throughout the film, and it's definitely the better for it.
Much like First Class before it, Days of Future Past doesn't seem to be afraid to be stupid, and is willing to use humour liberally. The first X-Men trilogy made fun of the mutants' code names and had people use real names most of the time. It made fun of superhero costumes, while also putting people in strange combat suits. This new set of films has shown that even as it goes further from the trappings of the comics (the mutants are mostly wearing street clothes, code names are rarely used), it stays true to the characters and doesn't feel the need to apologise for being a superhero film.

Gareth Bale reflected on a “dream” night after his extra-time goal sent Real Madrid on their way to victory over Atlético Madrid in Saturday’s Champions League final.

The Wales international, who moved to Los Blancos from Tottenham in a world-record £85.3m deal last summer, gave Real the lead in the 110th minute after Sergio Ramos’s last-gasp header cancelled out a first-half effort from Atlético’s Diego Godin.

Marcelo and Cristiano Ronaldo then sealed a 10th European Cup success for Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid side in Lisbon.
“It is what every footballer dreams of and it doesn’t come bigger in club football,” said Bale.
“The celebration of the crowd meant everything to me, but the most important thing is we worked hard as a team and won the trophy and the 10th title for the club.”
The 24-year-old winger spurned three good chances to score before eventually finding the net with a header in extra time.
“I have learned from past experiences to keep going, forget the chances you have missed and to keep persevering and a chance will come,” he continued.
“It was a close game, especially in normal time. We have played Atlético Madrid four times this season and every game has been close.
“They make it very difficult when they get a goal ahead and it’s hard to break them down.”
Meanwhile, Real boss Ancelotti was full of praise for Bale, who has scored 15 goals and made 16 assists in 27 La Liga games this season.
“It [Bale's goal] was very important because he had tried before, but he was unlucky in front of goal,” said Ancelott. “He turned up when he was needed.
“All season Gareth has been good and he will be better next year.”

Welcome France: The New Savior of Africa!

How would anyone trust France to help them?

Look into the history of humanity, please give me one single place on earth where France went and did any good for the local populations?
Even, for colonization for their own benefit, they can’t even do it properly.
After 100+ years of France presence in Africa, not even 10% of their colonies people are literate enough to read and write properly in their language,
tough France has forced about 14 countries to use French as official language.
Countries like Mali and Burkina-Faso can’t even publish more than 12 books a year, with over 30 millions population, while a small country like Lithuania in Eastern europe, with less than 3 millions inhabitants, still publish over 2000 books a year in their own language: Lietuviskai (Labas Rytas As Mielu Lietuva).
Travel to Francophone Africa and you can see how France has reduced those populations to a new mental and economical slavery!
France has always tried to split Nigeria, balkanize the country, because they think Nigeria is too big, and without Nigeria they would have had a complete control over West Africa.
The Biafra civil war which claimed over 1 million people life in Nigeria was sponsored by France, with french “humanitarian” organization “Doctors without borders” created for Biafra war by Bernard Kouchner used to transport weapons to the secessionists while pretending to transport humanitarian aid!
Sickening!
“Between two post colonial evils, you chose the lesser one… I won’t dine with France even with a spoon a pole long.” wrote Kathleen Ndongmo
Note: Doctors without Borders was made formal after the Biafra war in 1971. But was unofficial till then, while the same group of french covert humanitarians were working for the Red cross.
Wikipedia “During the Nigerian Civil War of 1967 to 1970, the Nigerian military formed a blockade around the nation’s newly independent south-eastern region, Biafra. At this time, France was the only major country supportive of the Biafrans (the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union and the United States sided with the Nigerian government), and the conditions within the blockade were unknown to the world. A number of French doctors volunteered with the French Red Cross to work in hospitals and feeding centres in besieged Biafra. One of the co-founders of the organisation was Bernard Kouchner who later became a high-ranking French politician.”
Indeed, the France wanted their own covert humanitarian organization following their experience in Biafra.

You Can’t Keep what You can NOT Defend!

It’s not because your hungry that you sell your teeth!

Some people on this continent think that the only thing we should care about is to keep building Africa, with more entrepreneurs, better managers, and more committed and responsive leaders.
That’s true, but we have to learn from the past.
It’s not the first time Africa is growing fast, with high hopes. But in the past Arabs, and Europeans came and destroyed it, again and again, because they have guns, killed our leaders, colonized us or put our people into slavery, and destroyed our social fabrics.
Check again how the IMF and World bank literary crushed the soul out Africa in the years 80′s with the Structural Adjustment Programs!
You Can’t Keep what You can not Defend!
Without hardening our societies to be less permeable to foreign subversion, and also socializing our youth to the african cause, we will still be subject to the same fate.
Not all people smiling to you are your friends!

Jeans Wear Are Not Meant To Be Washed - Levi Strauss CEO

Levi Strauss CEO Chip Bergh has disclosed that jeans are never meant to be washed.

“We’re trying to educate the consumer,” a double-denim wearing Mr Bergh told Fortune magazine’s Andy Serwer.

Talking about his own pair of jeans that are a year old, he said they are “yet to see a washing machine”.

“I know that sounds totally disgusting. I know it does but believe me it can be done. You can spot clean it, you can air dry it, and it’s fine. I am yet to get a skin disease or anything else, it works.”

“If you talk to real denim aficionados they’ll tell you don’t wash your blue jeans, just take a sponge or toothbrush.”

Mr Berg, who used to run Proctor & Gamble’s Gillette business, said the company is trying to be the ultimate in “slow fashion” in contrast to the throw away mentality of clothing giants such as H&M.

“We are the ultimate in sustainable apparel. We build our products to last, if you treat ‘em right they will last you a long time — probably longer than most people’s waistlines,” he said.

The company has created a range of Wellthread products which use less energy and water and are easier to recycle. They’re also producing a line of “waterless” jeans which achieve the acid-wash look without using harsh bleach or chemicals.
